Add Queens

1. To add a queen to a hive, first click on the ‘Queens’ menu item in the main header.
2. You will now be able to view all the queens for the currently selected apiary or apiaries. These queens will be presented in queen cards and display which hive is currently ‘queenless’ by displaying the ‘red queenless icon’.
3. Click the ‘Add Queen’ button on the queenless card, where you will then be presented with the ‘Add Queen’ form.
4. Enter the queen details in the form where you can also toggle ‘queen clipped’, or ‘marked’, selecting the correct marking colour as desired.
5. Once your queen details are correct click ‘Save’.

When returning to the ‘Queens’ main menu, you will see the updated queen card, showing the ‘queen icon’ that has replaced the ‘red queenless icon’.

An alternative method of adding a queen, is simply to click ‘Add Queen’ in the main queen submenu. You can use this method, if you have not pre-selected a queenless hive.
